The Blizzard of '78 on Cape Cod / Part I

Utilizing footage from the archives of the Henry Beston Society, Don Wilding's Cape Cod looks at the origins of the Blizzard of 1978 on Cape Cod. Unlike the mainland, the Cape was spared large amounts of snowfall. However, the storm set a new standard for wind and tidal damage at Coast Guard Beach in Eastham.

Interviews include former Cape Cod National Seashore ranger Jack Clarke, essayist Robert Finch, radio newsman Bob Seay, and former Eastham Natural Resources officer Henry Lind.

Check back over the next week for more video footage about this historic storm's effect on the Outer Beach of Cape Cod.
