The Beachcomber's bygone era

The Beachcomber of Wellfleet came out of its winter hibernation this week, kicking off its busy season and offering up yet another summer full of music on the Cape’s Outer Bar.

For many years, the confines of this seaside complex weren’t busy at all during the summer, but during the winter, as the Cahoon’s Hollow Lifesaving, and, after 1915, Coast Guard Station.
